FACEBOOK SILENCES ACIVISTS - Huddersfield St. Luke's Hospital site
facebook have taken down photos showing asbestos at the abandoned St. Lukes hospital site in Crosland Moor, Huddersfield.
The photos were taken on the 19th April and clearly show that contrary to UK building law, large quantities of asbestos were still present at the site.
The company which failed to remove the asbestos have objected to exposure of their hazardous practices.
A lot of panicked activity was noticed on the site on the day The Examiner contacted the building company, who denied that asbestos was present.
Even if the construction company have removed the asbestos since the photos were taken they should still admit to having failed in the matter until attention was drawn to it by activists.
There needs to be a public inquiry into how this happened and a reassessment of current safety on the site.
Contrary to helping make this public, facebook have complied with the company's complaint and removed the "St Lukes Asbestos Risk" page.
I have been offered no chance to defend myself against the allegation that I have posted abusive material.
Meanwhile, Mark Fisher faces legal action from their solicitors. They claim defamation.
Please help by saving these photos to your computer and re-posting them as widely as possible.
Activists cannot be bullied into backing out of speaking the truth.
Please spread the word as to how companies are ordering facebook to silencing social comment. I ask that you do this not only for the sake of a freer web but also in memory of RIP Andrew Kelley - Spiney who showed me the asbestos there.

aww, they've made the group private - cowards. I'm not even in the video btw, but I've walked passed the site enough times to be gravely concerned about it.
